Care & keeping

Jewelry is not just "stuff." It reacts to air, light, skin, and time. Good care is about slowing down what you don't love and keeping everything wearable for years.

Tarnish darkening on metal Patina lived-in look on copper & brass Dulling thin film on stones & glass

Think of your jewelry as the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off.

  • Put it on after skincare, perfume, and hairspray
  • Take it off before showering, swimming, sweating hard, or sleeping
  • After wearing, wipe it down with your Luna Fira cleaning cloth
  • Store it in its box or pouch with the dry pack when it's off duty

A mix of pure silver and other metals. That "other" part reacts with the environment and causes tarnish — those yellow-gray tones or dark spots.

  • After wear: Gently wipe with your Luna Fira cloth, then tuck into its box or pouch
  • Storage: Keep away from steam and moisture-heavy spots
  • Cleaning tarnish: Silver polishing cloth with gentle pressure. Be cautious with dip cleaners if your piece has stones

Silver darkens when you ignore it. A quick wipe and a cozy box slow that way down.

A thick layer of real gold bonded to a base metal — sturdier than plating, made to be lived in.

  • After wear: Wipe with your cloth to lift oils, sweat, and product residue
  • If needed: Rinse in lukewarm water with a tiny drop of mild soap, dry completely
  • Storage: In its box or pouch, away from sharp pieces that could scratch

Gold filled is low-maintenance, not no-maintenance.

Your "character" metals. They naturally develop patina — from warm golden tones to deeper, darker shading.

  • After wear: Wipe down with your Luna Fira cloth to slow patina buildup
  • To brighten: Lemon juice and baking soda paste, gently rubbed and rinsed off
  • Love the patina? Let it be — it makes each piece uniquely yours

Natural stones can chip, scratch, or lose their luster if handled carelessly.

  • Avoid impact: Turquoise, moonstone, and labradorite can chip
  • Keep dry: Remove before swimming, showering, or washing hands
  • Clean gently: Soft, slightly damp cloth only. No chemicals
  • Sunlight: Amethyst, rose quartz, and citrine can fade in direct sun

Treat your stones the way they treat you — gently, and with intention.

Fused with micro-layers of metal oxides for those shifting, iridescent colors. Durable, but still glass.

  • Avoid drops: Glass can crack or shatter on impact
  • Clean gently: Soft cloth and lukewarm water only
  • Storage: Wrap or separate to avoid scratches
